Priorities

 

 
Liaison
To establish effective links with residents’ groups and other organisations in the area and to encourage and support new residents groups
 
Communication
To improve communication between the Forum committee, Forum members and other organisations.
 
Transportation
To support the Forum’s transportation group in their work to improve parking, traffic movement, road safety and public transport in the area
 
Education
To work with Kings Heath Secondary Education Forum and to support their efforts to improve the quality of secondary education in the area
 
Environment
To work for the enrichment of Kings Heath and to press the City Council and other to improve recycling facilities
 
Building and Development
To participate in the Birmingham Council "Kings Heath Local Action Plan", to investigate the status of derelict buildings in the area and to work closely with All Saints Development Project
 
Community Safety
To liase with the police and monitor the impact of CCTV in the area
 
Participation and Consultation
To seek the views and opinions of residents and to respond to the changing concerns of the community. To encourage the City Council and other groups to carry out proper consultation when formulating their plans. To lead, encourage and support campaigns on those issues of common concern which reflect the aims, objectives and priorities of the form
Whilst working to achieve our priorities, the management committee will operate without distinction of disability, gender, politics, race religion or sexuality. We will not support any action which is contrary to the aims and objectives of the forum
